"Winter's Bone" got nominated for Best Picture ,  Actor in a Supporting Role  for John Hawkes and Actress in a Leading Role for Jennifer Lawrence.





The Kids Are All Right


"The Kids Are All Right" got nominated for Best Picture, Actor in a Supporting Role for Mark Ruffalo and Actress in a Leading Role for Annette Bening.





127 Hours


"127 Hours" got nominated for Best Picture,  Actor in a Leading Role for James Franco, Film Editing and Music (Original Score) for A.R. Rahman.





"True Grit"


"True Grit" got nominated for 7(!!!) Oscars. For Best Picture,  Actress in a Supporting Role for Hailee Steinfeld, Actor in a Leading Role for Jeff Bridges, Cinematography,
Art Direction, Costume Design and Directing for Joel Coen and Ethan Coen.





"Biutiful"


"Biutiful" got nominated for best Actor in a Leading Role for Javier Bardem and as best Foreign Language Film.

 



"The Town"


"The Town" a film starring and directed by  Ben Affleck was nominated for best Actor in a Supporting Role for Jeremy Renner.





"Blue Valentine"


Michelle Williams got nominated for best Actress in a Leading Role in "Blue Valentine.




"Rabbit Hole"


Nicole Kidman got nominated for best Actress in a Leading Role in "Rabbit Hole".







"Animal Kingdom"


Jacki Weaver got nominated Actress in a Supporting Role in "Animal Kingdom.





"How to Train Your Dragon"


"How to Train Your Dragon" was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film and Music (Original Score) (John Powell ).





"The Illusionist"


"The Illusionist" was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film.






"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1"


"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1"  was nominated for Best Art Direction.





"Alice in Wonderland"


Also nominated for Best Art Direction was "Alice in Wonderland", which was also nominated for Best Costume Design (Colleen Atwood).





"I Am Love"


"I Am Love" was nominated for Best Costume Design (Antonella Cannarozzi).

That Banksy´s and Jaimie D'Cruz "Exit through the Gift Shop"got nominated for Best Documentary (Feature) was a real surprise for me. Banksy is a street artist and is considered as the best right now. His real identity is still unknown. 
He doesn´t do exactly graffiti but it´s street art. A long way from the Bronx to the Oscars.
