Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past

One of the funniest romantic comedies of the last years. The plot is based loosely on Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. The film is directed by Mark Waters and starrs Mtthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner as the main characters.

Disturbia

Disturbia is a remake of Alfred Hitchcock's classic film Rear Window. It starrs Shia LaBeouf and Sarah Roemer.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Smith is probably the best action-comedy film I´ve seen so far. The movie was directed by Doug Liman , who also directed Bourne Identity and Jumper , and starred Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as the main characters. Thanks to the chemistry , of the now married , Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt the film was so great and entertaining and became such a big success.

How To Train Your Dragon

Another pretty decent and funny animation-film. These animated movies are better than I thought.

Pirates Of The Caribbean Special

Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most successful film series of our time , that also found critical acclaim. And for good reason. The unusual lead character Jack Sparrow , brilliantly portrayed by Johnny Depp , gives the movie a very amusing and cheerful touch , without making it childish (by the way Johnny Depp based his charactorizationes on the Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards). This is a movie for old and young , the whole family and actually great. The first 3 movies were simply awesome and highly entertaining.
Now the 4th film in the series , "On Stranger Tides" , is in the starting blocks. Keira Knightlys and Orlando Blooms characters won´t appear in this film , instead there will be Angelica , played by Penélope Cruz , and Blackbeard , portrayed by Ian McShane. This is also the first film in the series , that will be directed by Rob Marshall and will also be released in 3D. Despite these changes , I hope they can keep up the high standard of the first 3 films , the movies also have an awesome soundtrack. Disney has also revealed plans for another 2 movies in the series.

Knocked Up

 

Another Seth Rogen film , like you can see I´ve been digging his movies for the last couple of days. This dude is increadibly talented kicking lines funny as hell and portraying a hilarious loser character.

This movie is also starring Katherine Heigl as Alison Scott , who gets knocked up on a one night stand by the loser Ben Stone , played by Seth Rogen.

 

The 40 Year Old Virgin

Pineapple Express

This is defenitely the best stoner-movie of the last couple of years. Also starring Seth Rogen , who also wrote it. James Franco was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his performance. 

Also starring is the beautifull Amber Heard as Angie.

Superbad

Hilarious movie. The best character in the film is Mc Lovin. From the writing staff of "the 40 year old virgin" and "knocked up".

Zack And Miri Make A Porn

I just saw this movie again. One of the funniest movies I´ve seen in a while. 

The film is about Zack and Miri , who live together and can´t pay their rent anymore , so they decide to make a porn.
The film was directed by Kevin Smith and starres Seht Rogen and Elizabeth Banks as lead roles.

Don´t get scared off by the trailer , it isn´t that good and doesn´t really show the great moments of the film , but the film is fucking awesome.

Gone Baby Gone

The masterpiece by french director Gaspar Noe.

This movie is about a sister and a brother , who are lost in the drug quagmire of Tokyo.

 The brother starts to deal and gets shot. Basically not much content , so this is one of those movies , that live from the atmosphere.

Like you know it from Gaspar Noe , the film is not so easy to process.

I recommend this only to people , who have the stomach for it. Thou it´s guaranteed , that you feel happy about your live afterwards.^^

Hangover

The Hangover was one of the funniest movies of the last year. Four guys go to Vegas to celebrate the bachelor party of one of them. The next day they wake up with Mike Tysons tiger in their room, a baby and don´t find their bachelor boy. Hilarious. For more information about the movie, click here.

Death At A Funeral

127 Hours

127 Hours is a biographical adventure film directed by Academy Award-Winning director of Slumdog Millionaire, Danny Boyle. The film stars James Franco , who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance , he also played in The Pinapple Express. 

The movie was nominated for six(!!!) Oscars including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Original Song and Best Film Editing , but sadly didn´t win even one.

The film is based on the real story of mountain climber Aron Ralston.

Very good movie , you can really feel the pain in some scences. Fucking awesome movie , unbelievable that it didn´t win an Oscar.

Kick-Ass

 

 

Despicable Me

Normally , I am not a big fan of animated films , but this one was awesome. For young and old. 

You should also check out the soundtrack by pharell and Hans Zimmermann.

The Tourist

A film with Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp , two of the biggest hollywood stars of our time , has high expectations to live up to. Considering that , the movie was a light disappointment for me (probably because I just expected something different) ,  but still a very good movie.
